Introducing Searchable Fields

Searchable Fields are a Motive Commerce Search tool that allows you to enable which fields are used for search. This page provides an overview on how to use Searchable Fields.

Understanding Searchable Fields

The management of Searchable Fields allow you to set up and influence the behaviour of your shop's search engine. You can select which fields are used for search and thus being taken account by Motive Commerce Search when returning results.

Your PrestaShop's connection to Motive Commerce Search's schema allows us to understand which of the fields are searchable and therefore can be chosen in the Searchable Fields screen.

Managing Searchable Fields

You can enable the Searchable Fields you want to be shown with the Status toggle.

In order to do that, follow these steps:

1. Select the Field whose status you want to change.
2. Use the toggle to enable (green) or disable (grey) the field.
3. Click Save.

After saving your changes, it will take some time to be reflected in your shop.
