Oh, the passing of time! How jolly it is when it brings a new Motive Commerce Search release. And this one has quite a lot of new features, in fact. We’ve listened to your feedback and developed new search layer customisations and a few other settings in Motive Commerce Search 1.2.
More settings have been added to the Visual Customisation section so you can style your search layer to best meet your needs. With these new settings, you can change the margins and the amount of columns of your search. You also can hide the Add-to-Cart button in the results, and alter the size of product photos. Learn everything about Visual Customisation here.
You can now choose whether some products of your shop appear in the search or not. For the moments, you can now hide products that have no stock or that aren’t available for order (or both). For example, if your shoppers search for ‘shirt’ and you’ve run out of blue shirts, the colour blue filter will simply not appear. Learn more about Results Visibility here.
You can now see a new button in the Search Analytics Details view, which allows you to download a .csv file with that table’s data according to the parameters you have specified. This enables you to further analyse the data in programs for spreadsheet management. Understand how to export Analytics.
You can now configure more aspects of your Motive Commerce Search within the Settings section, particularly those concerning your shop. This new screen allows you to change the name of your shop and edit its token, in case you update it or reinstall the Plugin. Learn more about it in Configuring your Shop.
Apart from all the new features we've developed, there's also been some updates under the hood so we can help you with more stuff in a timely manner when you contact support. We’ve also updated some of our visual components so the experience in the Playboard feels better and more consistent.
Search layer and other fixes
We’ve fixed an issue where some products were marked as out of stock incorrectly, and a bug where the search layer didn’t allow scrolling in some situations while using the mobile version. Last but not least, we also improved how the Playboard deals with updates, so we can ease newer versions' delivery moving forward.
